I took a day trip to the town of Arles with a couple friends and had a blast exploring the little city and its ancient ruins.
I've been here in Aix-en-Provence, France for about ten days now, and I've been putting off writing a blog post or sharing pictures on Facebook until I had some glamorous story to tell you about how many French friends I've made, how I've spent every spare minute tucked into the corner of a cozy French cafe, how I've seen the Lord in every single moment of my semester thus far, how much I love living here in Aix. And sure, I’ve definitely had some of those moments. But I want to be honest with you: the first few weeks were actually way harder than I expected.
Last week, I had the privilege of spending eight days in Nicaragua. I had actually intended on spending a month there over the summer, until the crisis hit.
In July, my dad and I traveled to France for a week-long backpacking trip! It was so incredible wandering through the country with just a backpack, little to no plans, and my best friend. Here's a peak into what we did:
I'll be honest: it's been a weird summer. I didn't have a job or some internship, I didn't leave the country for two months, I wasn't a camp counselor. Instead, I lived at home and went on sporadic adventures.
